    Laundry washing machine hoses wear from the inside out.  Manufactures recommend replacing them every 5 yrs.  We consider new hoses the cheapest flood prevention you can buy.   

    Dish washing machine soap has changed because of new regulation, some brands that were good are no longer recommended by most manufactures. Next time you buy soap check for brand labels on the back. What looks like hard water could be soap build up.

    Laundry dryers need heat and more important air flow to dry clothes quickly.  Lint filters do not catch all the lint, some  gets through and slowly builds up in the vent in the wall and dryer interior.  A complete cleaning is needed for fire prevention and maintenance.
